Co-create is a Powerful Concept as It Inspires a Collaborative Creation of Something New

We explored the first four concepts, so we will continue with the last one: Co-creating engagement spaces with your team.
Co-create is a powerful concept. It shares ownership and responsibility on the creation. It inspires a collective and collaborative creation of something new.
If you are creating experiences of engagement, you can't leave your teams out of the creative process. And your teams shouldn’t wait for you to figure it out alone.
This is something I experienced when engaging my teams at the beginning. They were not used to being asked for ideas on how to create engagement initiatives. It is not common, leadership teams think they own that responsibility and comes up withe ideas, that’s it.
So how can you do it?
Your engagement team should be a small group who lead the experiences as well of another group that might rotate every quarter or 6 months who are the target of the experiences you are trying to create (like a focus group). They will have responsibilities too, besides providing feedback on your engagement team ideas, they will come up with new ones. They will also talk to other team members or employees to gather and collect ideas.
You can also create spaces for co-creating experiences and invite employees randomly to it to brain storm ideas.
There are multiples ways of co-creating with your team on how the engagement experiences will look like, but the most important aspect of this is that…

…Your communication is transparent, even in the most challenging situations
…You inspire them to engage
…You create powerful experiences they can’t resist to attend
…and You make them part of the whole process
