Orange Droppie for The Youngest Kids (4 to 6 yrs old)

Updated: Oct 23, 2022

Orange Droppie is a multipurpose book. So as a parent you might felt disappointed if you just bought an illustrated children book. This is why you might find it too long for an illustrated book, or with too simple illustrations. You will find dialogues instead of an story telling with short sentences.

Having saying that, I am hoping you are open to a new way of seeing children books so you can use it as a tool for multiple purposes and ages.

For our youngest children between 4 to 6 yrs old, the book will invite them to read it with you, whatever role you are playing with the kid (as a parent, as an educator, as a guardian). I like to call that role: “The Unicorn”, the one who supports them in their adventure in this planet.

This is a summary of all the purposes you will find in this book:

  • Dialogues instead of story telling: They will invite you to role play the book while you are reading it, so there is an active interaction between you and the kid. This will spark the imagination of the kid and yours. And I hope that you both can create new scenarios for Orange Droppie’s adventure from it.

  • Learn the meaning of the colors: one of the main goals of the book for this age range, is to learn the meaning of the colors Orange, Red and Yellow. There is a lot of valuable information behind the sacred language of colors. They will also learn that mixing two colors can create a third one, in this case Orange.

  • There is always a guide: the white butterfly is the guide of this book. The guide always comes with an important message. In this case, to remember the unique essence of each of us. Kids at this age are pure essence, remembering them how important is to keep it after this age, it is another goal of this book.

  • Connect the kid with the adult’s inner child: I haven’t read any book for kids which sparks this connection. Guardians barely talked with the kids about how they were when they were a kid. And this connection is so important! I think this happens because most of adults are not connected with their own inner child for multiple reasons. But once you do, your connection with kids is so much easier. They perceive who is connected with their inner child and get magnetic attracted to those. The Orange Time will create a moment for that connection to happen.

  • Simple Illustrations: I wanted to create a book that inspires kids to create their own books. Easy illustrations, drawings that seems to be done by a kid, can be an inspiration starting point for them to create their own. So I invite you to spark that inspiration with the kid.

If you want to explore how to get most of this book for other ages (6 to 10 yrs), I invite you to continue this adventure through this post.

Hoping after reading this blog, it sparks your curiosity to connect with your own inner child and read this next one, specially created for her/him.

Stay Colorful!
